Algeria
- JAI-CC certificate of origin and invoice must be issued. If a customer in Algeria requires an EX-1 Certificate, this is issued by the Algerian Embassy in London when they legalise the Arab-Irish certificate of origin and invoice.
Jordan
- Meat & Poultry exports require a certificate issued by the Dept. of Agriculture stating that the meat/poultry has not been treated with Hormones [hormone-free]. This certificate must be certified and legalised through the Joint Arab-Irish Chamber of Commerce
- Either of the following statements must appear on exporters original signed invoice – which must contain a value.
“We certify this invoice to be true and correct and that the goods referred to are of [state country/ries] origin. We also certify that the goods enumerated are not of Israeli origin and do not contain Israeli materials, nor are being exported from Israel.
Or
“We certify this Invoice to be true and correct and that the goods referred to are 100% of [state country/ries of origin].
Lebanon
- The following statement must appear on all invoices submitted;-
“We hereby certify that the present invoice is authentic, that it is the only one issued by us for the goods mentioned therein, without deduction of any payment on account, and that they are exclusively of [country/ries of origin] manufactured by [state manufacturer/ers]. We also certify that the goods mentioned therein are on Free Sale in the Republic of Ireland.
- For Agency Agreements, Certs. of Free Sale, Health Certificates or any other documents, must be stamped by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs first.
- Documents covering chemicals, drugs or medicines must carry a declaration stating that the substances are non-hazardous. If the goods are hazardous the following must appear on all invoices;-
“We hereby declare that the above goods are hazardous and the purpose of use is for ……………………… purposes, and are on free sale in the Republic of Ireland.
- Certification and/or legalisation of a certificate of origin with several invoices can be done on condition that all invoices bear the same date. The cert. Of origin should state the invoice numbers and invoice date.
- The manufacturing and expiry dates must appear on the certificate of origin, invoice, Halal and health certificates. Basically, if any product exported to Lebanon has a manufacturing or expiry date – these must be on all documents. For pharmaceuticals, chemicals, drugs etc. the minimum shelf life is one year.
- All health certificates must be stamped by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs in Dublin before submitting them to the JAICC.
United Arab Emirates
- Any documents that do not relate to a certificate of origin must be stamped by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin.
- Agency Agreements & Power of Attorneys require Notary Public and Dept. of Foreign Affairs certification prior to chamber certification and Embassy legalisation. Please ensure that the Dept. of Foreign Affairs certifies the Notary Public’s signature only.
Libya
- A certificate of origin is acceptable on its own provided that JAICC receive a photocopy of the exporters invoice.
- If the exporter wishes to have an invoice certified or legalised this must be an original & originally signed by the exporter.
- The value of the exporters invoice must be mentioned in Box 6 on the certificate of origin. This only applies to Libya.
- Every invoice is required to be accompanied by a separate Arab-Irish certificate of origin. Alternatively, if one consignment is covered by more that one invoice, a summary invoice relating to all the individual invoices must be used. The individual details of each invoice ie. invoice number & date & value of each invoice must be on the summary invoice which should show the total value and currency at the end. Summary invoice must be originally signed. Back-up of each individual invoice must also be sent.
Yemen
- Agency Agreements require Notary Public and stamped by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs in Dublin before submitting for certification and legalisation.
Syria
- The following statement must appear on all invoices submitted;-
“We hereby certify that the goods enumerated in this Invoice are not of Israeli origin and do not contain any Israeli materials.”
- If the above statement cannot be typed on the invoice, the following statement must be typed up on company’s letter head which should be addressed to the exporting company in Syria and must be originally signed and this will be legalised along with the other documents;-
“We hereby certify that the goods enumerated in this invoice are manufactured by {state manufacturer} and that the goods supplied are 100% {state country of origin} and they do not include materials from other countries.
- Every invoice is required to be accompanied by a separate Arab-Irish certificate of origin. An invoice with printed matter on the reverse is not acceptable.
- For Agency Agreements, contracts and any documents which do not relate to an Arab-Irish certificate must be stamped by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs in Dublin.
- Documents with amendment stamps or initials will not be acceptable – as the Syrian Embassy will not legalise documents, which contain mistakes.
Saudi Arabia
- A SASO Certificate of Conformity [Saudi Arabian Standards Organisation] is required for certain items – generally for Food & Agriculture, Electronics, Automotive, Chemicals and others – For the issuing of these Certificates please contact;-

Bahrain
- For Agency Agreements, Contracts, legal documents and any documents, which do not relate to an Arab-Irish Certificate, must be stamped by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs in Dublin. Please note that Agency Agreements must be signed by both parties beforehand.
Kuwait
- There is a special packing list required for clearance purposes. This does not necessary need to be certified or legalised, but certain information must appear on same eg. harmonised codes
2. Certificate of Conformity to Kuwaiti and BSI standards (drawn up on company headed paper), required for electrical goods and building materials. Again, this Certificate is rarely called for.
