This event will inform key stakeholders in Athlone of the SIRO roll out in their town, the scope of the build, the nature of the technology and the benefits of Gigabit connectivity.

• SIRO, the ESB and Vodafone joint venture company is building a 100% Fibre-to-the-Building broadband network in Athlone.
• SIRO technology is the first of its kind in Ireland. Using ESB’s existing infrastructure, SIRO will deliver a 100% fibre-to-the-building network directly into homes and businesses right across Ireland, bringing speeds of 1 Gigabit.
• SIRO’s Gigabit connectivity will allow businesses to avail of broadband that is three times faster than the best service available in Dublin (350 Mbps) and 10 times more powerful than the fastest average internet speed in Ireland.
