Athlone Celebrates Business Excellence
The Athlone Chamber of Commerce is to Launch the 2016 Athlone Business Awards at the Sheraton Athlone Hotel on Thursday 14th January at 6pm. Organisers, Sponsors, Media Partners, Business Support Agencies and those with Business interests in the locality will attend on the evening.
The Business Awards will highlight the success of businesses across a wide range of sectors. A Gala Awards evening will be hosted by The Sheraton Hotel on Saturday Night the 16th of April, 2016. Nominations are free to enter and open to all Businesses in Athlone and District. For example the organizing committee anticipate applicants from as far afield as Kilbeggan, Ballymahon, Moate and Ferbane. Details on how to apply will be posted on Athlone’s, Chamber of Commerce Website (athlonechamber.ie) which is currently being revamped and will be also going live this Thursday.

Grainne Cornally, board member of The Chamber has indicated that “there is immense interest in these awards and with 13 different categories and one Lifetime Achievement Award, almost all awards are now sponsored. These sponsors will be announced on Thursday evening. The interest is so strong that there are already over 80 nominations. The Athlone Business Awards, through Athlone Chamber of Commerce, would like to thank the two Media Partners, The Westmeath Independent and Midlands Radio 103 for their commitment which are key to its success”
